Explore new areas and meet new people with this free monthly social walking group
Run in partnership with North East Derbyshire and Derbyshire Dales District Councils Walking for Health programme
The wild moors above Sheffield and Chesterfield are a majestic and inspiring landscape, but for some can be a daunting prospect to explore. If that sounds familiar, then there is a walking group that is perfect for you.
The monthly walks are between 2.5 and 3.5 miles long and provide a steppingstone for those already doing some walking but looking to get more exercise and explore new areas.
The social side of the group is equally important, with walkers welcome to join the group for a brew or even lunch afterwards.

The experienced Walk Moor walk leaders know the Eastern Moors well and will point out the wildlife spectacles as the seasons turn.
The group meets monthly, March to November, on the first Thursday of the month. The first meeting of 2020 will be Thursday 5th March, meeting at Longshaw Woodcroft car park at 10am for a 10.30am start.
