Prescribe yourself some time in the great outdoors and reset your rhythms with this mindful walk across the moors.
Join professional mindfulness practicioner Fiona Watson for an autumnal walk on Big Moor with a focus on mindfulness practice and relaxation.
Beginning and ending at Barbrook Cottage, this walk will introduce mindfulness practices in an indoor setting before putting them into action while walking on the moors.
You are invited to be with nature and walk in the beautiful Peak District surroundings of Big Moor and the Barbrook Valley. Enjoy walking with yourself in quietness yet within the companionship and safety of a group. You will be led by Mindfulness Teacher Fiona Watson whose approach to this practice is warm, engaging and accessible. You can leave feeling restored, refreshed and ready to take on the week ahead.

What to bring with you
It is very important that you dress warmly, waterproof and windproof! This is an event takes place on open moorland and we will make regular stops to reflect and think. Suggested are plenty of layers and a waterproof and windproof coat and trousers. Waterproof walking boots or wellies with a good grip are necessary as the route may be muddy. Additionally, bring something waterproof to sit on during stops. Feel free to bring a drink and a snack in a rucksack.
Please note that dogs other than those that provide assistance should be left at home for this walk.

By road: Do not use the postcode in your satnav - search for Eastern Moors Partnership. From Owler Bar take the A621 towards Bakewell for 1/2 mile until you see a white gate on the right. From Baslow/Chesterfield, take the A621 towards Sheffield for 4 miles until you see a white gate on the left. Follow the tarmac track through this gate to the cottage.
